Commercial Concrete Solutions
Commercial concrete surfaces are designed and executed according to the loads, traffic, geometry and final use of the space. We begin with sub-base preparation, compaction and level control to create a stable foundation for the slab. Reinforcement, slab thickness and joint layout are planned according to project requirements and expected service conditions. Concrete is placed in controlled sections, accurately levelled and consolidated to achieve the required flatness, strength and surface quality. Depending on the project, the slab can be power-trowelled, prepared for polishing, or finished as a base for epoxy, polyurethane or other protective coating systems. Proper curing and joint execution complete the system and help control shrinkage, cracking and long-term movement of the concrete.
From Concrete Slab to Final Flooring System
A commercial floor does not end with the concrete slab. Different areas of the same facility may require completely different surface systems depending on traffic, mechanical loads, temperature, moisture, chemicals, hygiene requirements and the intended use of each space. We build the concrete slab with the final flooring system already in mind. In some areas, the concrete itself can become the finished floor — power-trowelled, polished or otherwise mechanically treated. In other areas, the slab is prepared as a controlled substrate for epoxy, polyurethane-cement, MMA, terrazzo or other industrial and commercial flooring systems. This allows us to execute the entire floor package as one coordinated system — from sub-base preparation and structural concrete to surface preparation and the final working floor.

The Final Floor Is Only as Good as What Is Built Beneath It
Every resin, polymer-cement, protective or decorative flooring system depends on the condition and design of the concrete beneath it. A high-performance coating installed over the wrong substrate is still the wrong floor. Concrete strength, slab design, reinforcement, joints, curing, surface preparation, moisture condition, vapour transmission, waterproofing, drainage, slopes and the interaction between different layers must all be considered before the final flooring system is selected. And there is no universal solution. Some flooring systems require a dry and moisture-controlled substrate. Others can tolerate higher residual moisture. Some structures require an effective waterproofing or vapour-control layer, while in other situations trapping moisture beneath an impermeable system can create serious problems. The concrete itself must also be designed for what comes next. Its composition, finishing method, curing procedure and surface condition can directly affect the adhesion and long-term performance of the final flooring system.
Mistakes made at this stage are often expensive to correct later.
Poor substrate design can lead to cracking, loss of adhesion, blistering, delamination, moisture-related failures, damaged joints and premature deterioration of the finished floor. This is why commercial flooring requires more than a good applicator. It requires experienced professionals who understand concrete, moisture, waterproofing, surface preparation and the chemistry and mechanical behaviour of the flooring system that will eventually be installed.
